Microsoft Annual Partner Meet 2009

The main objectives of the Annual Partner Meet was to bring together different strata of the different community in Nepal and trying to reach out different sectors and communities in the sector of Microsoft providing the service solutions. The event was focused on different aspect and initiatives of Microsoft in Nepal and also looked upon state-of-the-art Microsoft technologies and to award the Reseller of the Year Award for the financial year 2009.

The kick-off partner meet session was handled by Allen Bailochan Tuladhar, Country Manager of MDP Nepal, where all the partners gave their introductions, their expectations from the event and from Microsoft MDP Nepal. Partner Program was followed after the kick-off session which was handled by Allen Bailochan Tuladhar, he talked about how partners can be benefited by the Microsoft Partner Portal, difference between the Certified, Gold Certified and Registered partners, and how partners can add value to their business. After the partner program, Gandip Khaling, DPE Lead, took the session of Sneak Peak of Microsoft Office 2010 and Student to Business Portal.

Allen Biolochan Tuladhar started the next session with his presentation on Strategic Planning and Selling, which incorporated how to work with big accounts and how to move big rocks in the competitive market. Gandip Khaling and Binny Maskey, Account Manager of Microsoft MDP Nepal, followed the presentation on Windows 7 selling points; presentation included both the technical and the marketing aspects of selling Windows 7 in the market. Each of the resellers and the distributors were interactively engaged in the program.
The next morning started with breakfast, and then with the program started with the presentation by Nutan Raj Marasini, Senior IT Executive, BrainWorks Nepal, on Positioning SQL Server at Enterprises. After that the session was followed up by the Presentation on Unified Communication by Udhyan Timilsina, Technical Specialist, Microsoft MDP Nepal.
The Next session was followed by Krishna Giri, Country Manager, TIS Nepal and presentation covered about the Microsoft Distribution Channel Road Ahead. Arun Khatri, System Engineer, TIS Nepal took the next session on SCCM. Sushil Paudel from Idreams Pvt. Ltd took the presentation on the SharePoint; he mentioned the uses and importance of SharePoint in the business. After the session of SharePoint next session was followed up by the presentation of Get Certified by Ravi Chandra Koirala, BrainWorks which included the Microsoft Partners Certification Program. The next session was taken by Allen Bailochan Tuladhar on Microsoft Ecosystem, how Microsoft MDP works in Nepal.
Finally the last session of the event was Award Ceremony and Idreams Pvt Ltd was awarded as the Reseller of the Year for 2009 and the award was handed over by distributors Krishna Giri (TIS Nepal) and Rangarao Srinivasan from Ingram Microsoft Singapore.
